Vegan Poblano White Bean Chili



This Vegan Poblano White Bean Chili is a hearty and tasty dish that is great for cold days. Poblano peppers that have been roasted add a smoky flavor, and white beans add protein and fiber. Add a squeeze of lime to the end to make it taste even better.

Ingredients:

  • 2 poblano peppers, roasted, peeled, and diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 cans 15 oz each white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup frozen corn kernels
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 425F 220C

Put poblano peppers on a baking sheet and roast them for 20 to 25 minutes, until the skins get black and blistered

Take it out of the oven, put it in a bowl, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it steam for 10 minutes

Take off the peppers' skins, take out the seeds, and cut them into small pieces

Put olive oil in a big pot and heat it over medium-low heat

Put in the diced onion and cook for about 5 minutes, until the onion turns clear

Ground cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cayenne pepper should all be added

Stir often for another two minutes of cooking

Add the diced tomatoes, white beans, roasted poblano peppers, and frozen corn kernels to the pot

Turn the heat down to low and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, until the chili thickens and the flavors blend

Add pepper and salt to taste

Add fresh cilantro and lime wedges on top and serve hot

Breakfast Charcuterie Board



A lovely breakfast charcuterie board with both sweet and savory treats, perfect for adding a touch of style and flavor to your morning.

Ingredients:

  • 200g prosciutto slices
  • 200g smoked salmon slices
  • 150g brie cheese
  • 150g aged cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 1 cup mixed nuts almonds, walnuts, pistachios
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup olives
  • Assorted crackers and bread slices

Instructions:

Put slices of prosciutto and smoked salmon on the board

Put small pieces of brie and cheddar cheese on the board

Put mixed nuts and berries in small bowls and set them on the board

Put olives, cherry tomatoes, and hard-boiled eggs on the board

Put different kinds of crackers and bread slices on the board

Serve right away and enjoy!

Head Country BBQ Turkey



This recipe for Head Country BBQ Turkey creates a delicious dish that's ideal for any barbecue occasion by combining the rich flavors of Head Country BBQ Sauce with a perfectly smoked turkey.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole turkey 12-14 lbs
  • 1 cup Head Country BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions:

Preheat smoker to 275F 135C

In a bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create a rub

Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and rub the spice mixture all over, including inside the cavity

Place the seasoned turkey on the smoker grates breast-side up

Smoke the turkey for approximately 4-5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 74C

During the last hour of smoking, brush Head Country BBQ Sauce over the turkey every 20 minutes for a flavorful glaze

Once done, remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving
